Ferguson, H. (2010). Join the flock. Learning and Leading with Technology , 37(8), 12-15. Retrieved from http://www.iste.org/learn/publications/learning-and-leading/digital-edition-september-october-2011.aspx

Summary: This article explained the ways we are able to communicate with strangers in an educational way. It provided many great facts for example that Twitter can enhance our education in many ways. Ferguson provided step by step on how to start a Twitter account and how slowly it will benefit us. She explained that by having a Twitter account it will help start a community that will become a great source. By building this community it will help grow debates as well as discussions that we are able to join. Slowly our communities will grow and provide us a better communication with expansions of new ideas. Ferguson also suggested that when we follow people that seem interested it will enable them to start reading our ideas. Being able to communicate with strangers with our same interest can definitely help us become better teachers. I definitely see myself following professors that have had experience in the teaching field, because it enables me to look up to them in a way that we were not able to do so before.

Question 1: How is Twitter is an educational source?
I have to say that Twitter can be used as what you wanted to become. In many ways it can be used as a communication source with all sorts of people. Before I took this class I saw Twitter as a place where celebrities would communicate with their fans. I never thought of Twitter as an educational source. Although, after reading, “Join the Flock” I have definitely changed my mind about Twitter. Twitter is a place to connect with people that will help grow my teaching skills.

"Enhance your Twitter Experience"

Mclintock, S. (2010). Enhance your twitter experience . Learning and Leading with Technology , 37(8), 14-17. Retrieved from http://www.iste.org/learn/publications/learning-and-leading/digital-edition-september-october-2011.aspx

Summary: This article provided a better understanding of how to make Twitter a better experience. McClintock provided a chart of Twitter terminology which will help new users navigate this source. She also went into detail on how to find people that have our same interest. McClintock gave some great ideas on how to find a person that connects to your profession. Also, she explained that by using an organizer with a Twitter account will help us manage it better.

Question 2: How much time should we spend on Twitter?
I believe that the amount of time that we need to spend on Twitter depend on each person. For example in my situation the only time I check my Twitter account is while I am doing my homework.
